A Life Changing Event
On March 8th, 2013, I plan to be at the start of the Appalacian Trail in Georgia to begin a thru hike of the trail to finish in Pennsylvania. The thru hike will be to commemorate, my 36th Birthday and Graduating from Photography School at the Art Institute of Colorado.

An Amazing Cross-Colorado Adventure
I went for a roadtrip with a friend, and we spent the day traveling across the plains and mountains of Colorado. Here are a few pics. The rest are on my website. Not much hiking, but the weather was great, and we were in higher elevations (10k ft - to 14k ft) which is always good practice. It was in the 80's and beautiful.

A tougher hike then it should have been....
I went with my friend, Jason, for a shoot at the top of Devil's Head Peak at the Fire Tower, and it nearly killed me!!! It's a simpler 2 mile hike, but I've been feeling a cold coming on, and it finally arrived when I started hiking. I had severe breathing issues, my nose wouldn't quit running, and I began to over-heat. I had to stop at least 8 times on the hike and halfway through sent Jason ahead. You would have thought I had heat stroke, but we were in the trees and it was only 70's. I have to make sure, to keep my health when I'm out there on the Appalaccian. I did, however get some good shots while Jason was working on his story. I'll post them soon.

Frustration
I haven't had a chance to go hit the trails recently...been busy with school. Hopefully, I can get out soon and remind myself that I am going to school for Photography because I enjoy it. Sometimes the stress begins to make me forget.

A Good Start
I've made a decision, and set a couple deadlines...Graduation before March 2013, and My Thru Hike. They are both attainable goals, and with the support networks of family and friends, I know I will succeed.
